Our Story

Originally established by Dick Pearce and friends, Good Grain was built on the traditional skills and techniques used to create the iconic Cornish bellyboards. Born from a shared passion for working with wood in honest, time-honoured ways, these methods were soon applied to bespoke wooden displays, signage, and custom pieces, combining careful handcraft, attention to detail, and thoughtful design.

From the beginning, Good Grain has been on a mission to offer a sustainable, high-quality alternative to plastic in displays and design. Today, we continue this legacy, blending traditional woodworking knowledge with modern methods to craft bespoke wooden designs that are built to last.
